9 Days to Valentines Day
I've been shopping this week end and boy did I find some cutie cute stuff for the big day.
Here are my flowers for the week. We work so much it seems that sometimes when holidays are on week days special days get pushed aside. Plan, plan and plan and don't leave them to chance.
I have marked my calendar to shop Tues morning for fresh flowers.

My story is simple, I once didn't believe that I would be happy, healthy, strong and alive.
I learned to relax and closed my eyes. I let my mind dream of fantastic thoughts. When I woke up, the Universe said, "You asked and I heard, and you know what they say, be careful what you dream, it could all become yours."

Happy pink Saturday!!! Sunday and Everyday!!
I would like to introduce you to my Mom. Luella Mees. She has been staying with me for a couple of weeks.

She flew into Salt Lake City from California where she lives. Its been lots of fun having her spend some time with me and my family.
While she was her it was Matthew's Birthday and she made some Birthday Cookies for him.

Yummy!! Chocolate chip, oatmeal, coconut!!! Its a favorite around my house.
She is 87 years old and gets around very well. Mostly we are spending our time cooking. It seems to take up a lot of our day. She only makes food from scratch nothing from a box.
Really life is much slower and simpler. I like it. I use to think Simple meant Dull, unexciting. Maybe I thought life itself should be more INTENSE, INFLATED, OR URGENT!!!  I'm learning that simple, slow and planned is nice.

So here's to a good life, good people and  a simpler way of life.

Stargate Series

Stargate series, Beautiful Passage

Just got back from my post op appt. Good News!!! Stitches are out and I can now shower!!!!Yeah!!! I will have a little physical therapy and then I am good to go.
What a amazing journey I have been on.
The knee surgery------was a breeze.  It was the recovery that was a little hard.
Having my heart rate dip into the 30's gave me a little insight to a different place.
Here is what I experienced when I blacked out. It was a warm, orange and welcoming place. I was not afraid and it was not a frightening place. I wanted to capture the feeling and found that digital art seemed to do it best.
I think that I will work on a few more paintings for this series, just to make record of it.
IT WAS AMAZING...
Thank You Everyone who sent good wishes and warm thoughts. I was in need of them.
