Happy Birthday Wishes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES....
I'm spending this birthday on the road. Today we are in Burley ID and by tonight we will be back in Twin Falls. We have found the snow and howling winds and it's feeling more like winter.
This last year has been a tough trip around the sun but I made it. I'm thankful so many things I could not even begin to list the things I'm grateful for.
I spent a lot of time looking outside myself for answers and came to realize that what I was looking for was all within myself all the time. Strength and confidence comes from within and it has taught me not to wait for a better day or body to begin my life. It is your thoughts and your thoughts alone that will help you to set your life in motion. Don't wait for inspiration, creativity and even your determination.....the day will come and go, just begin.
Ive come a long way, 56 years, and I hope to stay, so my birthday wish is simple,

It's my daughters birthday on Sunday. Hard to believe she will be 30 when I myself am only 45 ha ha ha . What was your favorite year?
This is a pinting I made, digital artwork. Something new for me. It was fun and easy and so quick...I made a birthday card out of it for her.

Happy Pink Saturday!!
Happy Birthday to my two kitties,
Jax and Sassy....1 year old today.
Here's a little story about how I came to having these really cute kittens.

Many of you know I have been in the process of redoing and reorganizing my studio. In my attempt to keep everything in its place and tidy I have made several trips to the dump! I have passed on as much artwork, supplies, and books as I can to make room for new works of art and visions. At this time I also asked the universe for a little gift.

I wanted a cat for my studio and my husband said "no, we have two cats." I brought each one into the studio and asked them if they would like to stay here and be my "studio cat." Each one looked around and promptly left for the outside world. So than I said I want a "kitten" and will get one in spring when kittens are born. Again, Kerry said "no!" Well not more than two days later a small beautiful gray and white cat shows up in my garage, and she's pregnant!!! I brought her into my studio, two days later she had five kittens so not only do I have a studio cat but studio Kittens. Isn't the Universe wonderful????

The Guess Who concert



And the Birthday party continues!!!

For my birthday we went to see "The Guess Who" in concert.

It was soo great to see live entertainment.

The Guess Who have been around for 49 years!! and I remembered half of the songs.

2011 has started out to be great fun. I can now cross off going to a live concert off my bucket list.

Will you be trying something new this year?
Each January, with the coming of the new year I look at the calendar and I try to plan something I have never done before.
This January, as it turns out each year is my Birthday!!
Yes one more trip around the sun, as Jimmy Buffet says.
I wanted to do something a little more fun and exciting this year.
I went on line and found that the band The Guess Who, are having a concert not far for where I live. So, without asking anyone I purchased tickets for my family to come with me to celebrate my birthday with a weekend trip and a concert. Something I have never done!!!! I'm very excited about this.

Snow day Sunday




Yep, looks like I'm gonna need a cupcake today.

 
Snow Day!!
This is what I woke up to today. Snow!! I live in Northeastern Nevada and we do get snow, but really this is too early.
Luckily I just bought my snow boots last week when I was in Twin Falls shopping.
Today is my husbands birthday, and I wont tell you his age but lets say he is now distinguished.
I'm planning on making a birthday cake today and taking him out to dinner.
It's a pretty quiet day, and it's the last race of NASCAR today. Sad for him but happy for me. NASCAR lasts sooooo long. I like Carl Edwards and Kerry like Jr. so we root for different drivers.
I'm going to head to the studio and do some artwork. I'm planning on making "Under The Mistletoe" into a christmas card.
