Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday!!
I hope everyone is doing well.
On Monday I will be going to see a orthopedic surgeon about my knee and may have surgery.
So I have been preparing my home for me to get around on with crutches.
I will be spending 4 wks in a pretty bed for rest

Eating an apple a day to help heal. Actually, I have asked my diabetic coach to help me with a meal plan while I recover. I think 2000 or even 1500 cal may be too many for when I'm recovering. Not moving much, bed rest.
I will need a menu that works well with my diabetic plan.

I bet there wont be too many cupcakes on the menu!!!

I am asking for suggestions on great reading books. So if you have read anything interesting, fun or life changing, I would love to hear from you.

  5. I trust they can find something to help your knee problem with out surgery. I have known several people that have had it. It is a painful and long recovery time. However, in the long run, they said it was worth it. I trust all goes well whatever you decide to do. With a bedroom like that and a big window to look out, it might not be too bad. Take care.

  6. I'm sorry to hear you'll be laid up, but if you have to stay in bed, that's a lovely, cheerful place to do it. If you like history, John Adams by Steven Ambrose is a great read. For a wonderful and engaging series, I loved The Mitford Series by Jan Karon. It provides a heart-warming glimpse of small town life, the way we'd like it to be. It will help you pass the time and keep you company while you heal. Your art work is beautiful. Take care! Terri
