What's on my Easel?

What's on my Easel?
I have been asked to create a design for this years poster for the "The Vagina Monologues"
Produced by Andrea Hollowell.
V-Day 2011
Elko Presents
Eve Ensler's
The Vagina monologues,
March 18 & 19
Studio 425
Elko, NV

So I went about painting, and painting and paining what I felt would be the story of women and how they felt about their life.
This is only one of the four paintings I did for the poster.
This is the one I love the best and in deep reflection of ones life I felt it touched my soul deeply.
While I was coming up with compositions for these painting, I was trying to imagine a woman who has looked back at her life. A woman who could acknowledge her past an than move forward to heal herself into the present.
Again, Melody Gardot touched a chord with me. With her song 'Gone".
I invite you to listen to the music and enjoy the painting.
Be safe, be strong, be health, be you,

Gone - Melody Gardot
I won't wake up To the sound of your feet
Walking down the hall
Like a soft heartbeat
I won't wake up
Cause by the time that
I do you'll be gone
I won't look back
On a past so long
I won't look back
On the things gone wrong
I won't look back
Cause by the time that
I do you'll be gone
I won't have words
I've said all that there is to say
I won't have words
Cause I know you'll just throw them away
I won't have words
Cause by the time that
I do you'll be gone
By the time that
I do you'll be gone
By the time that
I do you'll be gone
