8 day to Valentines Day

8 Days to Valentines Day
Love Fortune Cookie;
"One who loves much, gains much."
Aha, one sentence says soo much. Don' you think?
I have always believed that you must not hold back, give 120% because if things don't work out, as sometimes they don't, you can honestly say to yourself you did all you could and you have no regrets. Have none of this, if only I had done this or that......Live your heart.  Live your life, and I now like to say Live your imagination!!!

Invite the Sandman In....
There's no ZEST FOR LIFE without sleep. Constant sleep deprivation can depress your immune system. No excuses, find time to give your body the time it needs to recharge, energizer and heal itself.

Sleep gives your heart and vascular system a much-needed rest.

Evidence is growing that sleep is a powerful regulator of appetite, energy use, and weight control. During sleep, the body’s production of the appetite suppressor leptin increases, and the appetite stimulant grehlin decreases. Studies find that the less people sleep, the more likely they are to be overweight or obese and prefer eating foods that are higher in calories and carbohydrates. People who report an average total sleep time of 5 hours a night, for example, are much more likely to become obese compared to people who sleep 7 - 8 hours a night.

Study found that women who slept less than 7 hours a night were more likely to develop diabetes over time than those who slept between 7 and 8 hours a night.

Deep sleep triggers more release of growth hormone, which fuels growth in children and boosts muscle mass and the repair of cells and tissues in children and adults. Sleep’s effect on the release of sex hormones also encourages puberty and fertility.

So I'm going to take a lesson from my cats
and sleep more, stretch and relax.

Following My Heart

My Heart, acrylic, Jean Hart
FOLLOW YOUR HEART...
One of the reason my list for the new year is sooo LONG  is that I am a true Empty Nester and I am just starting to find out what I really want to do, what I really want to learn. Meryl Strep said something very interesting "I know who I want to be but I had  to do research to be that person.", by the way I am a big fan of hers. My favorite movie was "Julia and Julia".
So on my list for today, Follow Your Heart, I am asking myself to follow my heart without asking whether it's okay to do so.
I'm starting with what I like and  I'm going  from there. Researching  Myself!!
Who, What, Where, Why....did I enjoyed that? Just beginning questions.
It's my life and I want to embrace it, enjoy the abundance that comes from taking full responsibilities for all my experiences.
So as I release 2011 and celebrate 2012 I will be writing a list, yes a huge list of 100 things I want to do this year. Not everything will be big...some will be simple, easy and creative. But I want them all to be possible..no failure here. No regrets. Just amazing , fantastic experiences.
Just now I'm wearing purple nail polish (not my normal light pink), I spent the extra 5.00 for a flower and sparkle. Amazing how much better that made me feel!!!
